Google announced today that it made a lot of money in the last quarter. But the big announcement accompanying its profit report was that co-founder Larry Page would take over as CEO from Eric Schmidt. Co-founder Sergey Brin will devote his energy to strategic projects and new products.
After Larry and Sergey founded Google, they brought in Eric to run the company because they didn’t know squat about running a company. Now after years of on-the-job training Eric is getting out of the driver’s seat, literally, and letting the Google boys take over.
